Experienced 3D, motion graphic and interactive developer.

Natural scenes and environments are some of my favorite things to make for any media. The image on the LED screen above is from a five minute animation created with Houdini and AfterEffects. It was originally developed for one-time use at a conference and was designed to compliment the art pieces which were also being shown in the space.  The animation is available to view below.

With an ability to fuse art and technology my passion is to develop multisensory, interactive and awe-inspiring experiences. My background has included game development, 3D animation and procedural design as well as production and design of large format content for events and visual effects. Over the past several years I have pursued a direction of developing interactive content as well as producing AR experiences and VR environments for corporate and branding uses. An ideal project for me includes subtle nuances of the natural world which are driven and enhanced by technology.

Providing the LED wall content is a media player built with Touchdesigner.   The media player is schedule based with 15 minute increments and supports multiple video lists and sources.

VR

VR environments for branding, storytelling and fun.   

Most of the virtual "spaces" I have created are on AltspaceVR.   Below are some examples that were created for a branding and meeting prototype.    They are intended for business related social gathering as well as being a sort of immersive storytelling environment.

The presenters stage includes supporting slides, video as well as immersive stages. This is where the virtual speaker would stand and present to the crowd.

An immersive "retail" space  used to illustrate customer actions and how one might visualize and deploy analytics in an advanced retail world.   This was a collaborative project with my involvement being mostly the creation of the environment and animations.    Interfacing with the analytics software, chart graphics, product labels and UI were developed by the team.

INTERACTIVE SPACES

An engaging information area for visitors. 

Touchdesigner is the primary application used for the interactive and real-time content.  This media cluster consists of four touchscreens and is six screens in total.    Five of the screens are driven from a single machine and the sixth screen communicates to the main machine through a wireless  OSC connection.  There are also three focused sound speakers.

The AR map was created with Houdini/Unity and ARKit on an Ipad5.

These AR examples were developed as tests and proposals for ways of engaging customers at events and marketing.

LARGE FORMAT AND EVENT WORK

Designs for the LED screen looks, transitions, executive presentation and video content. In addition I have managed the asset flow between our internal teams and external production partners for the larger events(shown). High resolution content, odd formats and layouts are always challenging but I love when it all comes together.

A large format background developed for talk on political topics.

An Air Force themed design

Exploring depth on the canvas by using large "arcitectural" elements in 3D space.

Content everywhere!  This was an enormous canvas with all sorts of nooks and crannies.     

All content designs were based on corporate standards and expanded out to the large screens.

Coming up soon will be some examples of virtual video production sets created with Unreal. Currently we are using Vive trackers for the camera transforms.    I will also work on my web skills :L
