The Apple Series

Apple portraits. I love the apple as a subject, they have a surface of fantastic colors and pattern as well as a subtle translucency. As a subject they are simple objects and yet have a long history of implied and complex meanings. An apple is often used to represent knowledge good and sometimes forbidden.

Landscape

Landscape is and has always been my first interest in painting. I enjoy being out of doors and observing nature. As with my other subjects I believe my landscapes are often like portraits.
